CORE provides something special to protect your location, and your web site. We call it CORE SECURE and it is a system to monitor and protect the computer systems that manage your revenue.

All our systems at our Kanas City Headquarters are connected to the web by 72 strand fiber.  Why is this a big deal - well it is the same level of connectivity that a TelCo has to the web.

We have a secure site in KC too. You have to be admitted to our building and all systems are protected from intruders - from the web or in person. Some of the ways we protect this is a secret, some is just “Best Practices”, and some is our meeting all applicable standards.

We got here because of our clients - they need this level of support and security and frankly they are the ones that showed us how to be what we have to be.  Sounds a bit corny - but security is a bit boring, corny and over the top  - simple to talk about and a bit harder to do.  We expect about a fifth of our IT activity is focused on security.

Nagios: You may have heard of this system, if not Google It - and you will find the best possible system to monitor your systems. Yup - we use it! Not only at our headquarters to monitor our stuff and your site and send you, and our staff, alerts if something goes wrong, but we deploy this on your sites servers too.  This has taken a lot of effort - but it makes a big difference.  Ask us - it’s all about the details.

Tarball: This is the backup we do each night on your systems and then send them somewhere else [ our servers in KC or some other “off-site” backup ] to protect you and your customers from disaster.  Tarball is just a Linux kind of Zip file.

PCI-DSS: A bunch of letters, but most important when is comes to protecting you and your credit card / debit card sales.  We use Monetra from Main Street Software to protect your and our credit card processing, either at your site, or centrally managed at your, or our headquarters.   If you have an existing middleware processing system - we will do an interface to your system. We will all have to do some extra submissions together for approvals - but it will be seamless.

https://Webhost.COREcashless.com: We have set up two secure web sites to service your online needs. “webhost” and “orderticks” are inspected and secured everyday via McAfee Secure process. Follow these simple steps when purchasing online:

1. •Real McAfee SECURE trustmarks are “live” and will show today’s date.
   

2. •But remember that some scammers go through the trouble of making daily updates to their fake seals.
   

3. •Real McAfee SECURE trustmarks can be clicked and will take you to the subscribing merchant’s verification page.
   

4. •Some scammers will have their fake seals link to www.mcafee.com. This might seem normal, but it’s not the way the McAfee SECURE service works.
   

5. •Real McAfee SECURE verification pages will include the subscribing merchant’s name.
   

6. •Make sure the company names match. A real McAfee SECURE trustmark will always click through to the proper verification page.
