Schlitterbahn Vacation Village (near Kansas City): The CORE system was selected for implementation at this new Schlitterbahn site that opened in July 2009. The CORE system is handling on-site ticketing, online (web) ticketing, on-site and online Season Pass sales, will call, consignment sales, and group sales. CORE also handles gating (admission) using handheld wireless devices to scan each guest's barcoded wristband for proper admission credentials.
The park is using CORE Cash cashless payment module, whereby guests can put "Splash Cash" on their wristbands, to be used throughout the park at all Food & Beverage, Retail, and Locker (rental) points of sale. The process, allows a guest to fund their "Splash Cash" using their credit or debit card, with a guest-determined daily limit. At the end of the day, the CORE system automatically settles the guest credit/debit card for the amount of Splash Cash used that day. No need for the guest to stop at Guest Services on the way out of the park to settle their account - it happens automatically. The park and the guests love it!
Also at Schlitterbahn Vacation Village, CORE deployed the outdoor-class fast-food-style FastPAD POS that can handle the rugged and wet environment of an outdoor waterpark.

Cowabunga Bay (Draper, Utah): The CORE system was selected to provide the total park solution and implementation at this new outdoor waterpark, opened June 2009. In addition to all the sales, retail, F&B, and online CORE services, Cowabunga Bay is using automatic entry and exit turnstiles interfaced to the CORE system. At the point of entry, the guest’s barcoded wristband or season pass is scanned for validity, and the turnstile automatically unlocks for one rotation. On exit, guests pass through exit turnstiles. The CORE system therefore provides real-time reporting on hourly admissions, total attendance, and current "in park" guest count to assist in staffing and chemistry load balancing.
